When Clinton did it, all we could hear were the rightcolumned corporate talk/opinion show hosts wail about it.

Where's their sense of righteousness now?

Comfortable? No. And not surprised either.

Righteous Indignation is what each American should be feeling right now. I predicted this ages ago,. Next, Cheney gets Agnew'd out of office and the Shrub will have HIS PARDON all ready to be signed as soon as the new skunk gets inaugurated. Mind you, I wouldn't give two cents to the slime that Pardons Bush or The Shooter or Skooter Pie. They are corruptors of the very system they have sworn to protect. Tell me again, what were the charges that took saddam to the gallows? My biggest fear is what the world's reaction will be if we try to protect him. He may not be my choice for boy scout of the moment, but the Dub is the President! He has put us all in more jeopardy than any of all the Presidents before him. Not to mention that at some point he's either legally insane or hanged. I know if I could do anything about it Scooter would be reading "How to be a jailbird for Dummies" by Paris Hilton~The rich are not different, they just haven't choked on their cake yet.

He was there because congress was trying to figure out who leaked the identity of an undercover CIA agent. Libby was the guy who told the journalist the name. That sounds like a pretty good reason to be questioned to me. He lied about how he found out and who he told. That would be perjury and obstruction of justice. They wanted Clinton crucified and they want Libby knighted. At least Clinton only lied about his sex life.

I think the main thing that concerns me is the ease with which the executive branch can just step in and change the puzzle pieces when it comes to the judicial branch.

And Clinton didn't even lie about anything to do with our country, just his personal business. Clinton should not have answered the question.

Libby was following orders from Bush and Cheney when he outed Plame AND when he perjured himself about it. Today he was rewarded for taking the bullet for them. In 1 1/2 years he will also be pardoned.

I am far more upset that Bush and Cheney got by with this than by Libby getting a free ride.

Now Bush is not only the "decider", he is also the Scooter Commuter".

What is going on?
President Bush Commutes Libby's sentence!

I can't believe that My President has the nerve to commute Mr. Libby's sentence BUT still refuses to even consider to pardon and or commute the sentence of Compain & Ramos the 2 border patrol agents who shot the drug dealer in the BUTT when he tried to smuggle drugs into this country! WTF! I am so pissed off about this words can't begin to do justice to it! They were doing their job, he was covering up & lying to the grand jury to protect his masters! I have tried time and time again to not bash Mr. Bush because I am well aware that he knows a lot more than I ever will about alot of things BUT THIS IS STRAIGHT UP BULLSHI\T! For someone who is so concerned over his legacy maybe he needs to pull his head out of Cheney's a*s and look around and check some of the issues for himself! He will go down in history but not the way he wants of thinls he deserves I can tell you that!

Let's analyze this, liberal.

Clinton went on national TV and shook that crooked finger and squinted those beady eyes and said "I did not have sex with that woman". He then told a grand jury the same thing.

I don't recall Libby having his say on national TV. Do you?

Clinton was impeached and did no time, paid no fine and was not on probation. He was just embarrassed in front of the whole world.

Libby lied to investigators trying to get him on a charge that is not criminal. He will not do any time, but will have to pay a $250,000.00 fine and be on probation for two years.

Now who got off and who didn't?

Well, Former President Clinton didn't go to jail for lying after the witch hunt that went after him.

I can't begrudge President Bush for doing the same for Scooter Libby.

Libby didn't "out" Plame. That, the investigation revealed early on.

Gawd, why is it that so many people will just blindly believe George Soros' and Move-ondotorg's propaganda?

Scooter was convicted by a court for obstructing justice; it was not about lying to Congress. He had to walk because his wife had made it clear that she would ‘talk’ if he went to jail.

His supporters are self-righteous in their dishonest claims that there was no crime. So it is with pathological liars and hypocrites

Ironically, people objects to what the White House did to Libby but the media was suppressed.
