Back in the 80"s Journey's song Mother Father from the Escape album was playing when I got the call about my Dad having a stroke...........still can't listen to the song today without going directly to that feeling I had that day..........
REM's Losing my Religion was playing in the car on way home from the hospital when I was visiting an old friend from high school when his brother called to tell me he died just 5 minutes after I left.....
And finally Green Day's Good Riddance...my ex's song....

When I hear the song, "Please Remember Me" by Tim McGraw, it reminds me of my sister. And I still cry when I hear it. We weren't just sisters, we were best friends, we did everything together. It was her favorite song. They played it at her funeral.
My Mom just passed away May 22.
A few days ago, I was looking at some photos of her and the song "In the Arms of the Angels" came on. I just sat and cried when I heard it. That will always be my Mom's song. Everytime I hear it, I think of her and I feel so alone because she isn't here anymore and I miss her so much.

I heard the song "Lady in Red" the other day and it flashed back to an affair I had a long time ago and for a second or two I really ached to know how he was and where he is, stuff like that. I got over it just as quickly, though.

All the time.Whenever I hear an old song that I listened to a lot it always makes me think of what was going on at that time in my life. It's nice strolling down memory lane.

Many songs. "What It's Like" by Everlast reminds me of my ex girlfriend. As does most of my music collection... Disturbed's "Down With the Sickness" reminds me of my step-dad, but not for good reasons... Papa Roach's "Be Free" reminds me of Denial... Yes, a person, not the state of mind... I could go on for hours.

I'll be honest with you: The song "Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)" by Green Day usually makes me remember old friends, family members, etc. and makes me cry. The theme music from Titanic also makes me cry sometimes. ;-D

Yes, "Lightning Crashes" by Live reminds me of my late grandmother. She died right around the time that song was released and the lyrics are about the circle of life.
