try to unplug your printer and re-plug it again. if it doesn't work then your printer has malfunction.

I fixed printers for a living. a very interesting and absorbing specialty. To fix a printer it helps to know what is wrong with it in more detail than :"It's Broke" . However, like everything else except rocket science, it's not rocket science, and a good long look will suggest things to you. check the inside of the printer in good light, or with a strong flashlight. look for and remove any paper scrap, etc. you find. unplug it and wipe it out with a clean cloth- CAREFULLY, look to see if there are any visible disconnected wires. pull out the cartridges, inspect and re-seat them. check the carriage slide - does it move as it should? turn off your PC, unplug and re-seat your printer cable to the PC, and to the printer. Look at the wire for damage. replug in the printer. turn your PC back on, restart your printer.
if it works, you fixed it. if it doesn't, try new cartridges, if still nothing, check your printing Que, make sure its is empty, reinstall the printer drivers, and check to see that the printer is selected in windows, run any diagnostic program as came with your printer. still nothing? Buy a new one. modern home printers are to inexpensive to bother repairing, unless you have a business level laser or wax printer.

Lift the top of the printer and roll the paper out.
