Yes, and I regret it. Had an elderly in the home that I wish I had visited more before he died so I live with missing him everyday. I was young and couldnt drive, but I was still his favorite and know I shouldve been there.

The ones I had to turn away were not really friends in the first place. It's tiring having people taking advantage of your kindness, when you know they wouldn't do the same for you. (If I forgot my money for the vending machine, I'd drink water....stop asking me!...You need a ride. I won't do it anymore, since the last time you didn't show up when you said you would.)

Some times you have to, some people can't learn to take care of themselves if they know there is some one who will constantly bail them out of trouble. Speaking from experience on both sides of this matter. There is a time when you have to turn your back and they the chips fall where they may.

no, not really. but after so many times of helping and trying to help them get on thier feet, and they still let every chance in the world to get going on thier own pass them by, then it is time to say, "enough". i have lent them several thousands of dollars for the sake of the kids...whatever people do for them, is never enough...for example: i mean, i live in an 800 sqft appt. and my live in/long term boyfreind's baby sister had herself, her no good baby daddy and 5 kids in my living room. the babies (7 months apart/she has one early) had to sleep in my kitchen...this went on for 4 months. and i dont get state assistance for anything and they would not apply for some retarded reason...anyways, they cant ever come back. they drift from town to town with 6 kids now (she just had another one...) and neither one can seem to find it in themselves to get and keep a job....oh well. makes me thankful my life choices didnt turn out so suckie! lol

Yeah... I guess I am guilty of doing this. I ignore my friends, I ignore my family. I lock myself in my little room and block the world... *sigh*
