I actually have two questions. First, I'm getting a laptop that has a Geforce Go 7700, and since it's coming with Vista Home Something, I assume it can run DX10, but I want to make sure. Second question: I have Vista Ultimate but I lost the packaging and I'm not sure if it's an upgrade CD, or a full install CD, but I'm pretty sure it's a full install. Even if it is a full install, can I just pop it into the lappy with the pre installed Vista Home, and get Ultimate Vista in the end, thanks in advance.

No, it can't run DX10, its not a DX10 card. Vista does not require a DX10 card, in fact there are quite a lot of systems that come with Vista that don't have a DX10 card.

Secondly, if it is a full install, I am pretty sure you would need to format first, but you could try doing it the upgrade way. Either way, I would strongly recommend doing the format first, it makes for a much cleaner install.
