98 chevy tahoe parking lamps are not working. I have changed the fuses every time i turn the lamps on the fuse blows out. I also smell a burnt smell.

if you are blowing a fuse the only thing that makes them blow is a short circuit. You need to check your wiring from the lamps to the switch basically. First place to look however is anywhere those wires go by metal, such as the frame. Good luck.

There is a hot wire shorting out some were to the body. I got a 96 caprice and it kept blowing the fuse to the fuel pump. It was the wires in the back underneath the car they were shorting out to the body. Check your wires going to the headlights, I'll bet its out there.

The only thing that can do this is a short to ground.Please go to your local chevy dealership.They will find the short and repair the problem.Best of luck with your tahoe.

I agree with the guy above. You have a short somewhere. Check the wiring from your lights to the switch.

take a look at your traier harness in thr rear,very common for these to short out,and blow fuses and /or headlight swithces

attempt to locate a short in the wire....check the lens, it might be cracked and water is getting inside causing a problem...
