I normally wear paties according to what I am wearing, not by what I prefer. Thongs for tight stuff. Low cut boy shorts for low cut jeans. Sometimes commando at home. Regular or bikini with a skirt. All depends.

bikini...regular panties...sometimes I wear a thong if I have to other clean underwear or to tease my b/f...sometimes I do go commando b/c I don't want VPL(visible pantie line).
