Damn good team. Especially Duncan. Damn good team. I hate them though. They keep killing my Suns

Of course.

But, I am still trying to figure out if the Spurs mirror Tim Duncan's winning attitude, or if the Spurs mirror Coach Pop's winning attitude.

What is boring about the Spurs? As Coach Pop adjusts each game to its opponent. My brother, a Phoenix season ticket holder, says the Spurs are the only team in the NBA who outrun Phoenix. I think that is saying something for the oldest team in the NBA in the San Antonio Spurs who are 19-6 against Phoenix in the last 25 games, post season and regular season combined. When the Spurs play Phoenix or Denver, the Spurs go "uptempo". When the Spurs play rebounding teams like Utah or Cleveland, the Spurs play halfcourt and go "uptempo" when their opponents are getting tired. I fail to see that as boring basketball.

Maybe the Spurs are boring because the Spurs don't have any controversial personalities. The Spurs already had their few years of Dennis Rodman, a former great rebounder, antics, and the Spurs knew that Stephen Jackson, a great scorer, was a ticking time bomb just waiting to go off which is why the Spurs got rid of Jackson immediately after Jackson's key role in the Spurs 2003 NBA championship.

With the Spurs Big Three, Duncan, Parker, and Manu, under firm contract for a number of years into the future, barring injury, the Spurs will still be a team to contend with.

I like Duncan. And technically, he's 90% of the Spurs team. Does that count? The big three is mainly Duncan and 2 random side-kicks who could have been any other combination of 2 decent guard/forwards and Duncan. Ginobili is the poorest sportsman I've seen in a basketball player, football player, hockey player, boxer, wrestler, anything, in the past half a century. Maybe more. Oh wait, there's this Argentinian soccer player who cheated in a high-profile championship-deciding game and was totally unashamed of it. There was also the famous Argentinian predecessor who cheated in the World Cup and was actually proud of it. Maybe it's just something about Argentinian sports players to be totally unsporting and have ethics that go lower than the seabed.

I'm pretty enraged that the league has not banned/suspended Manu Ginobili yet for his outrageously blatant cheating. He dives, flops, fakes contact, lies, cheats, on almost every play, defensive or offensive. He falls to the floor before there is any physical contact. He retracts in mock pain from imaginary blows and recovers instantaneously once he gets the call. He fouls people and gets the favourable call using some strange sort of Argentinian charm. He has travelled quite a few times without being whistled because he's tumbles in a heap to distract people everytime an opponent moves to within twenty feet of him. According to his theatrics, a 2 year old toddler could have been responsible for mauling and crippling him for life.
Wonder whether he taught Horry, or Horry taught him. Horry's another guy who gets bashed up by invisible entities on the court and always draws the phantom foul while getting away with outrageous fouls for virtually no penalty. Horry has the mysterious ability to attract ghosts to hurt him, or even better, hurt himself and blame his opponents for it. He's the type of guy that trips over his own shoes and gets his lawyers to sue KFC, and somehow succeeds.

If the NBA referees could get any worse, they might just go to the point of awarding 2 free throws to Ginobili/Horry for every opposing team player that crosses to the Spurs' half of the court.

The Spurs are the BOMB.

Like them or not, they're here to stay. At least for another 2 or 3 years.

I do

What's not to like the Spurs play every part of basketball to perfection. I am not a Spurs fan but I love the way they play. I don't understand why people don't like "good" basketball. For those who likes "bad" basketball might as well just go watch "meaningless" basketball.

good basketball - fundamental and winning basketball
bad basketball - flashy and losing basketball
meaningless basketball - flashy and score doesn't matter (And1 street ball) basketball

They will be known as a dynast of this era but they sure are boring to watch. Thank Tony Parker and Emanu Ginobili for at least to spark a fire of amazement. But they do win championships and they show that great fundamental teams always do come out on top.

i dont like 'em... they have good players but they are boring to watch... they could dominate the game but watching them is like u could fell asleep, plus they use dirty tactics 2 win the game... im not against the spurs and i admit that they are the best team in the post-jordan era but the spurs are using old fashioned basketball... effective? yes, but tv ratings? no taste for the audience(except for a fan) and bad fo the nba...
