Well, in a weird way these demons of mine are part of who I am. So if I were to defeat them and get them out of my head, I would lose a part of my identity. I seek to control them, keep them at bay, so that I can do what it is that I want, and not succumb to my fears.
I know that the day will come in which I will be relatively sane, and content with who I am.
