What is the best way to keep basement window wells from leaking?

Scoop out the bottom of the wells and put in a couple of bags of rock from Wal-Mart garden section, make sure it's not to high, about even with the windows.
Then make sure your windows are sealed good and don't leak. You can also buy covers, made of plastic for about five bucks at most lumber yards.
