My Dad told me once that when a person pays 30 percent of their income in taxes, 6 percent of their expenditures on sales taxes, and then another 8-10% in credit card interest, things go south pretty fast.
I opened a bank account last year, and because I'd never had a credit card, was given one with a $25,000 limit. I carried it aroung for a week or so, kinda like a suicidal person carrying a loaded gun, and finally cut it up. I am not good with money, and that was one of the smarter things I've ever done...
