an olympic pool is

25 meters wide, 50 meters long, and a minimum of 2.0 meters deep, however most pools tend to be deeper at 3 or 4 meters.

The FINA (Fédération Internationale de Natation – International Swimming Federation) specifications for the depth of an Olympic pool is 2.0 meters minimum.

I am a nationaly ranked swimmer and have been to world wide meets at Olympic size pools.
A olympic size pool is 10 lanes wide( 25meters)
50 meters long. And the important thing about being a Olympic size pool is that it has to be 9 feet deep the whole way.

As was said before, FINA standards specify a 2-meter minimum. It will depend what pool you'll be swimming in and what it is used primarily for.

depends on the pool..the one in USC are about 13-15 ft deep
lenght wise is 25-50 ft. or 25-50 mt. depends on long or short yard pools
