What bothers me more than that is when someone asks if they can borrow a piece of paper.I mean what's the point in returning a piece of paper?

Not really, when they ask that-it's usually something personal and sometimes I really don't feel like answering personal questions

The best way to deal with such people is to convert their question to your own question and question them back and simply walk away with proud.
