ITwas no == you ask the question how do you know when to mow your yard == tell me is the yard full of grass or concreat smile . but lets get back to your mowing of your lawn .
THE TIME TO GET THE LAWN IS WHEN YOU THINK THAT YOU see it comeing up quickly , AS you know Itwasnot their are all sorts of grasses .depending on the the season you are in lets say for instants you are in the winter . Well winter grass {Poa annua}is a common grass and it is better know as a wed now this will grow in many kinds of lawns , If you do not watch this stuff growing , this weed will just take over your lawns so during the winter , i would advise you to be mowing your laws about once ever 3 weeks during the winter , if your lawn gets out of hand , and your mower will not cut though it , then on the market their is an insectercide called . ROUND UP , WHAT YOU DO IS MAKE SURE that your animals will stay in doors for 24 hours , that it is not going to rain within 3 hours , after you have put this ROUND up down , and try not spary this stuff 0n a windy day , as what this ROUND UP will do is it will blow in to your plants , and kill them No this ROUND up come prepared for you , or you can buy a tin and put 3 tablespoon into your spary , add cold water , and just STAND ON YOUR SO CALLED GRASS AND JUST SPARY IT ON THE GRASS , WITH IN 7 DAYS , YOUR GRASS WILL TURN TO BROWN , AND IT WILL KILL ALL THE ROOT AND WEEDS , , IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN itwas not then never leave it anywher , as this is a very stron poison just keep it out of they reach , Now if you put this on your lawn it will kill your grass , and the weeds , but within six to nine mons , your grass will start germanrateing again , minus the weeds , how this makes sence to you , be at peace within your self

Twice a week if you seasonally fertilize your lawn. Usually a Tuesday/Friday Combination works well. Also another tip when mowing twice a week, keep the setting on your lawn mower to a higher degree that normal, you will be suprised as to how much nicer your grass can look if you let it grow long and maintain it at a little bit longer length than usual (hence mowing it twice a week, instead of just once).

It mainly depends on the rain. But weekly is a normal time frame. Ideally, you need to set the wheels of the grass mower to a certain level (the level you want your grass to be at its highest point) When the grass gets a inch or two over that point...get to mowing.

Otherwise, I lived in a rental house for a while, and they always knew when we didn't have the sprinklers on, the grass would dry out, and they would always ask to come inside to check our settings.......

We learned to turn our sprinklers on just for them, but mowing, that is up to you and your shorty dog :-)

It's time to cut grass when it's about 3 inches high and I only cut 1/3 of it each time. I have a bermuda lawn.

I just look at the grass. After 5 days or so it has lost that "manicured" look. It may not be terribly long but it's getting uneven and sloppy looking. Then I mow it.

Umm, I pay some hot thing to come mow my lawn (unfortunately he isn't hot :( but i'll pretend) It takes me ages to mow my lawn, hours, he does it so quickly because he has a ride on.

It gets mowed when he calls to mow it!!

I don't mow it.
I just get (almost) run over by the mower when I'm laying out in the yard.
