Yes. Couples who plan to be together for a long time need to work out who will handle the money; will they pool their money and share all expenses; will they work off of a budget; how will they make decisions on major purchases, etc. If money is no object, or if they will keep separate accounts, they still need to know how stable the other person is in the area of money management. It can become a big issue so should be discussed early in the relationship.

I don't know. I guess to a certain extent it does. If you have a millionaire dating a hobo, that might cause friction between them. Myself and my boyfriend alone with our financial differences sometimes can be... challenging. He can be coming from one point of view and I'll be coming from another and we just won't understand each other. I come from an upper class household and he stems from strictly middle class. There's nothing wrong with either of those backgrounds, they're just different; therefore understanding each other sometimes makes it hard. But we love each other, so we don't let money get in the way.
Hope this helps!

As long as there is enough money to cover the thing that are NEEDED, it shouldn't matter.

Well it depends. I wouldn't care for dating a rich guy but I would like to date a guy that is financially stable. He would have to have enough money to pay his bills on time and be able to still take me out on dates.

It can cause major problems between the people in it so yeah.
It's not how much you have but how you keep it.
The main thing is to NEVER have a joint bank account with the other person & to be able to hold your own.

A lack of it does cause tension, but in no way should it matter when it comes to love :)

Well there are people who marry other solely for their money, but I think that if you're in love with someone, then material wealth shouldn't matter.

If you are based in reality, yes it does. There are bills to pay and saving/investing for the future.
