$34,000 - $7,500=$26,500

$26,500 x .05=$1,325

Earnings= $1,325 + $750=$2,075

Hope this helps.

Bill's earnings = 750 + 0.05(sales - 7,500)

Bill's earnings = 750 + 0.05(34,000 - 7,500)

Bill's earnings = 750 + 0.05(26,500)

Bill's earnings = 750 + 1,325

Bill's earnings = 2,075

Answer: $2,075

Well this depends on how many weeks he has been working but if you take 34,000 x 0.05 you get 1700. This is the commission that he has earned. So you will have to add 1700 to how many weeks he has been working. Hope this helps.

earnings = 750 + 5% of (34000 minus 7500)

earnings = 750 + 0.05 (34000-7500)
