Have a look at the free general contractor agreement supplied on the site listed below, and see how you can adapt it for your requirements. They also have information on contractor insurance, lien waivers etc. Hope it helps and best of success on your building project!

There are assorted websites with various types of 'free' contracts available as samples. Beware, however. If you are not an attorney, how will you know whether or not the language represented in these free contracts adequately covers you in your area for legality ?

If you want free, you get what you pay for. If you want a decent contract covering all aspects of your transaction, contact an attorney who is familiar with all the various laws in your area, to insure that you are properly covered with all the 'fine print'.

You need to know what the state you live in considers as legal. General contracts in one state may not be considered as binding in another. You can look on the internet for possible contracts for your state using the key words.

Not free - but stop at your Staples, Office depot, or Office Max

They should have some general use contracts
