If you watched and liked the cartoon series then you will appreciate and hopefully love this movie too!
I saw it on the 4th of July and I can't wait to see it again.
It was awesome.

Being that you've been a fan for only 13 years, I'd guess that you're not too familiar with Transformers Generation 1 toys & cartoon. I grew up with them and am still a big fan of Gen. 1 today.
I've heard nerds who also double as movie critics say if you go expecting to reminisce of the old Gen. 1 Transformers, you're going to be disappointed. One guy said it's only "Transformers" by name but would've more accurately been called Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots. He said that Optimus & Megatron spend so much time telling their names that it's almost as if the filmmakers want to reassure the audience that it is actually the characters they know.
I must say I was disappointed when I found out they changed the looks and styles of them all. Bumblebee's a VW bug, not a camaro. Optimus Prime isn't a Kenworth style with the long front end nor does he have flames. Megatron is a .45 cal. handgun and doesn't look like some robotic demon. I'm old school when it comes to Transformers, so I won't be easily impresed by the new crap. But since I am a fan, I'll probably watch it online or wait til it's out on DVD.

o wow youre a fan and are hesitating to watch it? if u loved the g1 and all other transformers then you will love it and even if you dont you will love the movie. you can know nothin bout the movie and you will still know whats going on and know the story. It is an exellent move. im not a huge fan but i used to watch the shows when i was little and i love the toys so i saw it today and boy was the line long... haf to wait for 40 min just to get in.. i loved it. 2.5hrs of pure enjoyment. not a single moment where it gets a little boring like some other movies. well one of my fav character dies but... some good guys have to die i guess... you will especially love the final face off in the end which is a surprise. very good special effects and a quite good story too. it is not too human like people say or all. WATCH IT! there have been some changes to the robots tho wich is little wierd. i would of loved for megatron to still be a gun or at least some shooting thing or have a large cannon or something.. megatron really isnt megatron with no gun.. other then that i am ok with other changes cause they not to distrbing

Well I saw it today and lemme TELL you, I LOVED it! I am a die hard Transformers fan and I have heard NO hardcore transformers fans say they didn't like it. Even though there are some aspects of the movie that are different from the original cartoon the new incarnations worked VERY well together.
Also Shia's acting is pretty good, and I can't think of anyone better to play the Spike/ Sam Witwicky role.

Some producers in Hollywood must be getting hard up for material. I can't imagine a movie being any good that is based on some stupid toys from the 80s. I do not plan on seeing it.

I went to watch this movie yesterday. Wow..it was really awesome. It is a popcorn movie that will be enjoyed by all moviegoers. Almost everything is awesome including story and acting. This movie is gotta be the one with the best CGI effects and it all looks so real. To spice things up, the movie is loaded with so much comedy that it makes you laugh more than a typical Hollywood Comedy.

The movie is definitely worth seeing. While not the best movie ever. It is a lot of fun with humor, action, and drama. I liked it better than Pirates of the Caribbean Worlds end. Which would be the best movie to compare it to. I'd say best movie yet this summer.

Well, the movie hasn't opened yet, so we'll have to wait till Wednesday to tell you.
Personally, I can't imagine that the film will be "bad". I mean, it's a big, action packed movie about cars that turn into alien machines. As long as it has cars turning into machines fighting each other, then it's a good movie, right?
