How old are. Lack of maturity usually comes from a lack of self-esteem or feelings of inferiority. Just try to be your normal self. Maturity isn't built into you but somehow becomes part of your persona. Ask your parents how you are immature and work on it. Take time to think carefully what you are going to say or do. Ask yourself if is appropriate.
Responsibility is a little easier (I think). Follow the rules, do what you know you are suppose to do and do it no mater how onerous it may be, spend your time and money properly. Don't do stupid things when away from your parents.
If I knew your age, I could be more definite. I raised four hell razing boys and it was an effort. Now, as adults they are so responsible and mature I can't believe it. Good luck.

I generally use logic, and listen to my conscience.
If something does not seem rational, like jumping off a bridge right after receiving a super-big promotion for example, I won't do it.
If I see someone who's dropped a credit card on the street and didn't know it, I'd return it right away.
That's being responsible.
As for being mature, I believe that requires being conscientious of actions that will have effect later on in life.
Example of maturity: you don't get a credit card, then jump into debt by buying tons of clothes or expensive electronics.
Another example of maturity that hopefully everyone reaches, is knowing when to end a relationship.
That, I think is very important.

Start by actually listening when she speaks...
Follow that up by realizing that she knows what she's talking about...
Then get off the computer and try to undo the mess you created that caused your Mom, out of frustration, to tell you to come ask Yahoo how to be responsible and mature.

Does your mom think that you're NOT mature and responsible? lol.
Well... usually you would be called immature if you whined for everything you couldn't get, if you blamed someone else for your actions, or didn't take responsiblity when you needed to...stuff like that. Just act grown up to begin with. When someone says you can't have something. accept it. that it is life. And begin there. Realize that not everything is perfect, and that is how maturity begins. =]

Look inside yourself. You will be the one in charge of creating all of your surroundings. You must therefore develope things like charactor, and you must begin to build the treasure-trove that you will face life with. These reserves need to include an education, friendships that are not simply usuary, and the deveopement of hobbies, usefull things to fill the void of time with for as you pass time on this planet you will find that nothing happens quickly except downward spirals.

Without knowing how old you are its hard to answer. Just be yourself, always be respectable, and think of the consequences of your actions. Don't be afraid to live a little. I'd hate you to be so mature & responsible that you don't have any fun at all.

Try doing stuff to help mom out, read to learn, not just junk, learn something new every day and put it to good use..and definetly do not hang out with irresponsible people they will only get you in trouble...change something about yourself that you do not like.. Listen to your elders..turns out they actually know something, esp. grandmas..they have been there , done that and very important if you do not know, ask
cause when you assume u make an *** of u and me!
Seriously you can learn a lot by listening to other people that are older,I am in my thirties so not older than dirt yet, and I learn something everytime I speak with older folks.
Be courteous!
Ok that about covers it,besides the school aspect...remember,you are learning for yourself and your future, not your parents.. took me a while to figure that one out!
Hope that little spiel helped..grin

Maturity means being responsible for yourself.
That means not being selfish, but thinking of others.
You do your share of the work around home.
And you look out for ways to be helping others.
