I'm not sure what you're talking about, but if I understand correctly it sounds like you contacted someone personally from some kind of message board. If the rules of the message board state that only E-mails or IMs are allowed, then you will probably get a complaint.

It's kind of creepy when people from the net contact you personally - she doesn't know what kind of person you are, and it can be dangerous to get personally contacted by just anyone.

maybe she is paranoid and thinks you are stalking her (you did look her up in the phone book and call her.....ooooo scary...lol).

yes, i have been falsly accused of something. it was when i was a correctional officer in a texas max security prison. an inmate filed a grievance against me stating that i kicked his prayer rug from his doorway and ripped a copy of the koran in half. the grievance committee laughed and dismissed the grievance because of 3 things: (a)in the inmate code of conduct, prayer rugs are only allowed to be out while in use for prayer, not used for a door mat and (b) do you have any idea how strong i would have to be to tear a hard cover book in half? yeah, right. and (c) i was not assigned to that part of the prison on the night in question, therefore i wasn't even there.
that was the best grievance i ever got and i got a high-five from everyone on shift...including all the ranking officers. good times.

It was not "nothing."

When she didn't respond to your email, that should have tipped you off that she did not want to be contacted. Yet you then proceeded to contact her by phone.

Perhaps her complaint was unwarranted as it was only one phone call, but it was not rude. If any one was rude in this situation, it was you.

She can file the complaint. You had no business going to her home. Just apologize and they probably won't do anything to you as long as you never do anything like this again.
