One of my friends just stated that Star Wars III sucked.
I loved the movie and thought that it was one of the best.
Now,I'm not a "trekkie" of Star Wars,so I don't know what the problems were.
But I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.
What's your opinion? And I don't want any "It sucked." Give me your reasons,please.

If you have HBO and you need a "refresher", ALL 6 movies are currently On Demand! Star Wars was made longggg before my time and I'm in Awwwww... by them. I still haven't finished Episode 5, nor have I watched 6 yet. But those will get done TONIGHT!
Alot of people, for some reason, don't like Episodes 1-3. I dunno why. I personally have LOVED all the ones that I've watched!! I think 1-3 focuses more on the love story but it always REALLY builds the characters character, if you know what I mean!
Great movies, can't wait to see more.

I've been a fan of Star Wars for quite a while. I wouldn't go so far as to say that Episode III was the best of the movies, but I thought it was the best of the new trilogy, and it is definately one of my favorites. I love how everything was tied together, and set up the original trilogy beautifully. The fight between Obi-wan and Anakin was exceptionally well done, and I got goosebumps when Vader's helmet was finally put on.
The movie doesn't suck, but I still think the original trilogy beats the new. :)

Okay,I'm one of those StarWars (my friends said freaks until they saw it and got hooked). I loved all of the episodes. Being not as young some of you - I had watched Episode IV (New Hope,yeah way back in the 70's) before Episodes 1 to 3 because that's how Lucas made it.
The reason why some thought Episode 3 (Revenge of the Sith) sucked was probably because it showed how Anakin Skywalker was turned to the Dark Side. It didn't have that 'feel good' ending. It actually gave me a sense of hopelessness because that one person belived to be The One sided with the Sith and even killed the very person he loved. Plus he had to witness his mother die after being tortured by the sandpeople of Tatooine.
But knowing the course of the story, it all fitted in... I still liked all the episodes.

I am a huge fan of the Star Wars franchise and as such, I have to agree with you; Episode III rocked! The originals are better, but out of the 6 my favorite is either III or V. Why? Because they have the most plot and the best battles (not to downplay I or VI).

I liked it, it really tied everything together, and it was the best of the 3 newest Star Wars movies.
Ask your friend if he's watched any of the original Star Wars movies.

I thought it was good. I have all of the Stars Wars movies. I am a big fan. You should watch all of the movies, (If you haven't already) starting from episode 1.
I think you would enjoy them.

My best friend is a die hard Star Wars fan and I always used to pick on her before I watched it. But now I'm just as obsessed as she is. I guess I liked it because it is one of the few movies that can take a sci-fi theme and actually make it believable. Plus, the characters were all so deep and they seemed real to me. Anyway, there's my two cents worth (maybe ten points worth? huh? huh? How 'bout it?).

It's a depressing a movie. It really doesn't end on an up note as Anakin has firmly taken the dark side, Padme dies, the kids are scattered to foster parents, and all the rest of the good guys in the galaxy have to hide...

I loved Obi-Wan's character in Episode III The lightsaber fights are good too. A lot of action.

It was definetly the best of the prequels. I'm an original trilogy fan but I liked this one. Hell my wife liked this one and she hates Star Wars.
