After giving up 173 yards per game rushing last year and salvaging a season on the brink of destruction with a good playoff run & last minute comeback against the superior Patriots, will the Colts be able to win more than 8 games this year considering how weak the defense has become in the offseason. Will they finish 3rd or 4th in the AFC South?

I love hearing about the Colts offense that "can score 30 points at any occasion." Any occasion, apparently, except for the entire playoffs. I've never seen a team have more breaks come their way than last year's Colts. That's the only reason they won.

Come on, between Vince Young's Titans, the Jaguars who are always a tough play, and the Texans who are slowly building an unbeatable defensive unit to pair with a smart offense (think Panthers the year they made the Super Bowl) and you have a second place finish for the Colts, maybe even third place. Not sure who will win the division, but it damn sure won't be the Colts. They're gonna be too beat up to repeat, especially considering how well all the other teams in the AFC did in the off season and how the Colts have not done anything since February.

As a season ticket holder of the COLTS outsiders just dont understand. It does not matter who the COLTS lose they always draft and keep the right personnel to keep winning. How many of you thought that when the COLTS lost E. James their running game would be non-existant. If you think the COLTS lost good defensive players your crazy-they were just triming the fat. June=over-rated, Doss=always injured, Gardner=worthless, David and Harper=injured and burned frequently.
Please you call the Patriots superior last year? That is why they were the fourth seed and had to play at Indianapolis---give me a break the COLTS beat them the last 3 times they played each other.
I hate to tell you this fool the COLTS will win the AFC South again and go on to repeat as SB Champs.
One last question--why did the pats pick up Moss and Stallworth? So they could compete with the COLTS, it wont make a difference though the COLTS drafted some talanted receivers. Now defenses have to worry about Harrison, Wayne, Addai, Clark, Gonzalez and Hall. Stop that!!!

PS pats must be getting desperate to sign a player who won't play every down when they are on the field.

if you can tell me how losing poor tacklers will hurt our defense? they were also second against the pass or something so when you add it up i think they were 22 or something like that in total defense, and they have a offense that can put up 30+ on any occasion you dont need a great d when you have a great quarterback. and to add to this our defense is never the best and were always deep in the playoffs, so to think the colts will win less than 13 games is crazy.

They will still win confrence but will not win the superbowl because there are so many superior teams on defense even if their offense is not as well equiped 2 win but the colts wil give up 2 many yards 2 win the superbowl just remember that offense wins games but defense wins championships

I don't think the Colts winning last year was a fluke. It's all because of Peyton Manning. I do think their defense suffered tremendously when Bob Sanders was hurt, and they did have problems with the rush, but I think they will still win their division with at least 10 wins. Manning will find a way if he has to play QB, RB, WR and MLB.

The will definitely finish 1st on 2nd, above Tennessee and Houston beating them twice and they should beat Jacksonville at home. That's 5 victories.

I don't they will have problems vs the Bucs, Falcons, Panthers and Raiders. Home opener is against the Saints, which are a great offensive team with a mediocre defense.

So, they will definitely win more than 8 games and finish at worst 2nd in their division.

hey, as far as i'm concerned, the colts are superior to the patriots. they have beaten the pats 3 times in a row. and don't worry, the colts are going to win 12 + games and make it at least to the conference championship.

I think they still will win the division. Yes their defense did get weaker but their offense got stronger. They will give up alot of points but also score alot.

I got a feeling that even though this year's team looks weaker this year than last year's they still might have a shot at making some noise.

They can't fool me...They are still the second best team in the NFL, behind the Patriots...but their defense is gonna keep them from defending their title...not to mention the Patriots...
