AMY rhymes

First, there are almost no PERFECT rhymes for Amy

The only two I know of that are COMMON nouns are:

gamey, cockamamie

The rest all seem to be personal names/nicknames (such as Jamie, Mamie), and those are unlikely to be useful in poetry.

By the way, notice that the lists of rhymes people get from sites like rhymezone.com (which some have posted here) often contain a number of names, including many rare ones. So you must use those lists with care.

One other way to come up with perfect rhymes would be to COIN them. In this case, you would tack the -y ending on words ending with the sound /aim/, to form new adjectives.

flame-y, blame-y

But note that these words will not sound very 'serious', so are best reserved for lighter verse (such as comic verse).

BUT besides this there are quite a few good "near rhymes" that are very usable. Here's how it works.

For a good near rhyme
a) you almost always want to be sure that the ACCENT falls in the same place (in this case on the second to last syllable)

b) you usually want to exactly match the vowel sounds ("assonance"), in this case the long A and E sounds.

c) it helps if the consonant sounds are at least fairly close. So you might use words with that /m/ sound, but ALSO other related sounds, esp. /n/, though others might work

d) "extra" consonants (at the end or alongside the /m/ or /n/) etc) are not quite as close, but may still work

Note that it's OK to have a TWO-word rhyme, so long as the sounds match as just described, including where the ACCENT falls! (JESteele has something of that idea, though some of the specific suggestions sound unnatural.)

So, starting with closer rhymes, try:

betray me, delay me, flay me, obey me, pay me, portray me, slay me, sway me

became me, blame me, claim me, contain me, defame me, frame me, inflame me, name me, maim me, shame me, sustain me, tame me

cane me, chain me, disdain me, explain me, pain me, train me

brainy, grainy, rainy, zany

---------------

Slightly more distant, using sounds related to /m/, not quite as close as /n/ -- /b/, /v/, /d/, /th/ (with the voice)

baby, maybe

gravy, navy, wavy

matey, weighty

crave me, save me, enslave me, bathe me

aid me, evade me, made me, obeyed me, parade me, shade me,weighed me

---------------

More distant, including extra sounds:

aiming, blaming, (pro)claiming, chaining, complaining, containing, flaming, framing, gaming, maiming, naming, shaming, taming

caning, gaining, raining, reigning, staining, straining, training, waning

fainting, feinting, painting

gamely, lamely, namely, tamely
