The lie-berals and dems have set a new record in lowest ratings for congress. There has not been a lower rating since the birth of our wonderful country.
Can anyone counter this fact ?

Its truly funny to see the john kerry approach from some of the answers.. well, if you believe in the polls. The left has been hammering the right with polls for years.. but if they dont support their socialist agenda.. its "the polls are irrelevent"

People are just tired of the bs both democrats and republicans give them. When is someone in either side going to have the nuts to tell us "we spend to damn much..or sorry but this war is going nowhere?" Can anyone in congress just do that? The truth shall set you free!..but they won't do that...they are bought by special interests...one day people won't have it anymore and boom you'll have another revolution.

Why yes I can. Point #1 would be that they barely control congress. And point # 2 is that just maybe the low popularity rating is caused by the republican portion of congress still kisses the @ss of an extremely unpopular president? And, since you obviously believe in these accurate polls, did you know that the republican members of congress have a lower rating than the Democratic members? Looks like to me the republicans are dragging down the democrats.

Because of the most thoroughly corrupt adminstration in history, most Americans have lost confidence in every branch of government. Hmmm...it almost seems that may have been by design. Wasn't it one of those famous neocons who promised that if they got into power, they would shrink the government until it would fit into a bathtub?
The Democrats have a very slim majority and thus cannot override Bush's vetos. If you had a slightly more open mind and listened to something other than Rush, you would know this and then you could answer your own question!

You are right, people are frustrated that they voted republicans out and they still have enough of a foothold to keep the Iraq war going. Don't worry the next election is coming, once another 20-30% of the republicans are gone and a democrat is in the Whitehouse they will be a lot more satisfied.

I'm sure the rating would be a little higher if we outsourced the congress to India.
How many of our jobs have they allowed to be outsourced?
