persons say that when lara retires west indies will play better. what do you think?

West Indies didn't invest in talent when they were ruling the world. Now they're paying a very heavy price for that. It should be an example for all cricket playing nations.
Also just because Brian Lara was there WI didn't have a rosy time.
i.e: Lara scored 3 consecutive centuries in 3 consecutive test matches but WI still ended up losing the 3 test series to Sri Lanka 3-0.
How's that?

West indies lost badly in the last world cup even though Lara in the team. Therefore only one batman cannot take the team for victory each time. All the players need to do well in the game. Lara is one of the all time great player. But still there are world class players in west Indian team like Sarwan, Chandrapaul, Gayle. They also have good bowlers like Jeromi Taylor, Daren Powell, Edwards. Bradshaw, Collymore. You don’t need 11 world class players to win a match. They have to give their best for the team. I reckon West Indies doesn’t playing as a unit and Lara’s retirement is not the reason for their defeats.

West Indian team is not playing well.Their bowlers are playing well but their batsmen are not performing consistently except S Chanderpaul.When Lara was in the team he was performing quite consistently but Lara is no longer in the team so West Indies are not winning.
