Fred Thompson and Hillary were walking down the street when
they came to a homeless person.

The Republican, Fred Thompson, gave the homeless person his
business card and told him to come to his office for a job. He then
took $20 out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.

Hillary was very impressed, so when they came to another
homeless person, she decided to help. She walked over to the homeless
person and gave him directions to the welfare office. She then
reached into Thompson's pocket and got out $20. She kept $15 for her
administrative fees and gave the homeless person $5.

Now, do you understand the difference?

Both are right-wing parties that represent the interests of the wealthy elite. The role of the Republicans is to aggressively promote the interests of the wealthy elite, complete with an effective propaganda machine. The role of the Democrats is to provide the illusion that they represent the working class and thereby misdirect the desires and anger of the working class into a harmless channel.

Go to the parties websites and see if you can discern a difference.

It's hard to sense a difference when Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt were Republicans and U.S. senators like Liebermann are Democrats.

Simplistically, Dems believe that government is part of the solution and Repubs believe government is part of the problem.

In reality, nothing. Both would say anything to get your vote.

If you wanted abortion to be illegal and a Democrat running for office was standing in front of you (because they are supposedly pro-abortion), he or she would talk about which stages abortion should be banned at.

If you wanted to impeach G. Bush and were talking to a Republican running for office, he or she would speak of the wrongs and mistakes he has made over the years and what we should hold him accountable for.

Notice what they have in common? Neither directly agreed with you. They would say a bunch of stuff that sounds like what you want to hear. This way they don't have to live up to such claims if they do get elected.

See Mit Romney's views on several debated issues to understand what I'm talking about. Both parties "flip-flop" whenever it offers them a chance at gaining a vote.

everything -

moral issues:
family values
abortion
gay rights
international issues:
pursuing alliances
views on war
views on UN
economic issues:
value of oil
what to do with unemployment
how much taxing

there are so many issues, I cant start to list them - the democrats and republicans pretty much agree on everything, except they all agreed in 2003 to go to war in Iraq... obviously somebody gave everyone else the wrong facts...

Democrats stand for Socialism! A very dangerous consequence, look at the Soviet Union, Germany etc, etc.
Democrats want to allow, sex and drugs to cancerously grow in our school systems! Horrible!

Republicans on the other hand, Stand for all that is Free!
The Right for Christians to freely worship for example!
To help free those who are oppressed and under the hands of tyrannical terrorism!

Republicans stand for Life, to protect the little life of the unborn child! Freedom is giving the unborn a chance to live, a chance to grow and be a beautiful respectable citizen! Leaving NO child behind!
Republicans stand for Family, In example, The Institution of Marriage, In which is meant for ONE MAN and ONE WOMAN ONLY!

Republican = LIFE!

Very little. The parties are a far cry from their original roots.

The dems used to be the WORKING mans party.

Now the dems pander to the people looking for social services.

The repubs used to stand for MORALITY & PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.

Now the repubs pander to big business.

Both sides need to take a leap.
