... that the McCann parents are not acting in a suspicious manner?
I can't IMAGINE the horrendous pain of losing a kid, and if they genuinely did have nothing to do with M's disappearance then I will feeel guilty as sin later for this... but this situation seems to become more and more screwed up and weeeeeird as time goes by.
Also, someone said here than Gerry McCann had been seen earlier that night carring something from the room. Does anyone knopw the source for that report? Or is it all just a load of sick bull?

Barry - yes, can't fault that. I know. I'm trying to gauge opinions, that's all. We all know that speculation is relatively pointless but there you go.

i should point out that THE ALLEGATION ABOUT GERRY MCCANN IS NOTHING MORE THAN RUMOUR according to this site, that is why I asked if anyone had any sources for this info. As far as I am aware it is all hearsay.

Gerry and Kate are the two most uncaring parents (if that is what you call them) in the world. I am surprised they still have the twins. Yes I think they are up to their eyes on this one alright. They are a shifty pair. Something just doesn't add up with them. All I want to hear now is Madeleine has been found and the McCann parents have been charged. Everything they do is just a publicity stunt.

As time passes, I am more and more convinced that there is a conspiracy surrounding events on the night Madeleine disappeared. The general public are not fools, even those that are the "pro McCanns" are stumped as to why there is no real media coverage of Madeleine's disappearance, why non of the friends that were with the McCanns are not being interviewed, no one even knows who the nanny is. Also, as someone else answered, why do the parents seem to object so strongly when the police had a tip off as to where Madeleine's body may have been found. It IS almost like they don't want her found.
I also think they know she isn't coming back.

Felt from day one that the Father was involved.
As for motive, How about someone who is not used to having the kids around. The nanny was taken sick, so Daddy was NOT happy that the children might interfere with his holiday. Think how little time the parents actually spent with their children. Then that late afternoon/evening the little girl starts to play up. A loss of temper, an act in a moment of anger, a dead child.
With everything to lose, there is a cover up. Hence we have Kate and her "They've Taken Her!", then we have the story of the forced shutter (that wasn't!) and finally we have the "Abduction".
There is also the point of the contaminated "Crime" scene, 22+ people went into that bedroom to search for Madeleine, why? How big was that room? Surely the parents could have looked under the bed or in the wardrobe? I find that one act the most suspicious of all.
There is a conspiracy here by the Mccann's and their friends, Mark my word.

I definitely think this is a scam.
I am uneasy about the pact between friends because Kate and Gerry want to control the information that is put out. If you have done nothing wrong you put all your cards on the table. Their child allegedly was abducted (and lets face it, it just an allegation that she was kidnapped) and they're out touring europe meeting celebrities and dignitaries, living it up.
Oh and they're spending more time looking for a big villa than they ever spent looking for their daughter.
If we're all honest they have not spared one thought for their daughter.
I would also like to make a prediction
Not long after they have purchased a large villa (sorry search headquarters), we will hear almost immediately whether Madeleine is alive or dead. Personally I believe she will miraculously turn up wandering about near the resort or they will get an anonymous tip-off about where she is.

Hi Didn't know it was Gerry McCann that had been seen carrying the bundle away. There is something DEFINITELY not kosher about the whole affair. I feel very uneasy and hate to think that the parents may have had something to do with it. But they are a very unpleasant pair. As a trained doctor, you are taught as an undergrad to view life and death dispassionately (in my daughter's first anatomy class, a frozen human leg was dumped on the table with no warning to a bunch of freshers). They seem to be keeping their heads down at present to avoid any publicity. Hoping all the bad vibes will go away to facilitate their career change.

I have thought Gerrys manner very odd since the first time I saw him talk on the news.
He just doesnt seem to be that bothered at all-its like someone has taken his dog, not his daughter.
Cant comment on Kate as most of the media coverage seems to focus on him, although I did think it starnge when the police had got information that maddies body may have been buried in a certain location and they were going to dig it up (it turned out to be a false lead) Gerry and Kate were outraged and didnt want the police to start digging.
Surely any parent would rather know whether their child was alive or dead and would welcome any sort of lead no matter how painful it may turn out to be?
Or did they know it would be a waste of time?
It all just doesnt add up to me.

the medical profession has always been held with high regard so how much damage has been done since Shipman/ terrorist doctors and now the Mccanns i think the BMA have got a task on their hands to reassure the public and the quest re the parents yes i think most people feel that

I am very sorry for the mccanns losing a child like that, also the false claim to have found her by a criminal. Oh yes and the very nasty unjustified criticism they get from a few Internet weirdos

there has never been any evidence to say that madeleine was abducted. only statements from gerry's sister trish saying that the door was broken and windows jemmied. all the staff at the resort said differently. the mccann's are convinced that she was abducted....why are they adamant about this? they know something?

All I know is they should be locked up or at least have their other children taken off them, they should get done for neglect. If I left my 3 year old in bed and buggered off to the pub just down the road in this country social services would do me for neglect and the media would slate me! It's not right that they should get off scott free. That child is probably dead because of them.
