I have a Compaq Presario V2555US laptop.

Yes, but BIOS will just synchronize their speed and timings to the slowest which is the ddr PC2700. In case you get the beeps, try reseating or interchanging the memory stick locations.

yes, but the 2700 has to be installed in dimm 0 so that it will set the speed for the 3200. the 3200 should clock down to 333mhz.....if the 3200 is in dimm 0 then it will try to overclock the 2700 to 400mhz, which most likely will cause your sys to hang, or just not go into windows, or it just wont see the 2700. some laptops are pretty picky about mixing speeds.....so depending on your mobo it may or may not like it. i have had it work on many occasions though....good luck!
