what is a gaming notebook?

i know it supposed to be for hardcore gamers. but what kind. is it just regular games that u play online. or is it just games like minesweeper and freecell. what kind of games. so if someone could just explain what exactly it is. 10 points to you.

they're basically laptops that are built with gaming in mind.

traditional notebooks are more oriented towards basic applications, like internet usage, word processing, etc. you would easily be able to play games like minesweeper or freecell on computers such as these.

gaming notebooks are loaded with superior graphics cards, video cards, sound, etc., so that you can play pc games on them. also, you can do the basic applications as well.

basically the types of games you would play are the same as the ones on a console such as an xbox, only you can play them on the computer. like halo, for instance. a normal computer wouldn't be able to handle games like those.

Just technically superior notebooks, since notebooks are cramped for space and hardware not upgradable they made bigger deal out of it. Mainly for college residential students.

Good enough to be high end Core Duos and Radeon X or GeForce 8xxx series or above so that enough horse power to run really hardcore games like Call of Duty 2 or Halo 2 or the likes.
