I think it is a natural instinctive thing. Over the many years of history, I bet we could find that all girls undress their dolls when they first get them. The Roman girls, the Indian girls, the French...all of them.
Maybe in the future, when technology reaches a point that we can divide into the mind of people, then we can research it.
But until then, all we can do is ask the question.

Supposedly so they can try other outfits on them, but I've yet to see any girl actually do that. They usually get a skirt or a pair of pants on it and leave it at that.
