I know people who do not own Microwave Ovens and many other items that we take for granted.
They have taken the big step and moved from an abusive situation into a battered woman's facility.
I help others in the community to locate appliances for these women so they can start all over again.
When they leave the abuser, they leave everything behind, generally taking the children and themselves because they are in fear of their lives.

Yes the family who I work for does not have a microwave oven. Its so strange.

sure i know a lot of people who dont have microwaves, its not that essential for many asian countries, we get by without it and were not homeless either.

Yeah. several. Apparently you have never met somebody that only has an outhouse to crap in either. I knew a kid that had a piece of a rug for a door.

Nope, sure don't. Even my granny who doesn't have a tv or computer has one. Its the size of her car, but, hey, its the thought I guess.
