A pint is 16 oz

So 5.12 oz. of oil would be approximately 1/3 of a pint

Well you got your answer, under a third of a pint. A lot of quart bottles of tranny and other oils have measuring scales along side the bottle. If you can't find an empty one laying around you could try using a paper cup and a measuring cup from the kitchen. Fill the measuring cup with water at the level you think is 5.12 oz. pour the water in the paper cup. Mark the inside of the cup with a marking pen. Use the mark or cut the cup at the mark, dry the cup and fill it to the mark.
