your income taxes on labor? If you knew there is no such law that says you have to. would you still pay your income taxes? What would you doif you knew it wasn't a law that says you have to?

IRS is not government it is own by private banks.

It would be great if was true.

It is arrogant and irresponsible when people spread this tripe.

It is sad when people believe it.

This argument is perpetuated by a group of people usually called "tax protesters". But protesting taxes is an honorable tradition. A more accurate term would be "tax law deniers", embracing specious legal arguments that get knocked down in the courts.

Taxes are hated, but they are necessary and they are legal. Those who claim otherwise are just playing a game of semantics. They'll claim that the law only provides for the taxation of profits but not earned wages which can be viewed as an even exchange of labor for wages. Such arguments are fruitless and just mess with fragile minds. And, yes, people do go to prison for tax evasion.

What I don't understand is if there is no law that says we have to pay then why to people go to prison for tax evasion?
