It is just the Astros logo. The burnt orange star is what is on Ausmus' helmet. I am positive because I sit near dugout for the Astros games. Ausmus has a great mask because he does not need to flip it up and it looks much cooler.

It could be a rocket because after all it is the Astros. I was also thinking that it could be like a shooting star or something like that. The are no really good pictures on the internet where you could see what is is so we'll just have to make good guesses.

I think it's the Astros emblem, it has the sparks flying off the end just like the old Astros emblem..
