Sorry, but at age 56, you've got 6 years to go before you can collect SS retirement. You've got plenty of time to make up the missing quarter.

If you just need the one quarter, try for a job at McDonalds or at Walmart or someplace like that. Both of those companies do hire older people, not just kids (not insulting your age by the way - I'm older than you are). Finding a job that matches your background might not be easy, but if you just need the quarter for ss, do whatever it takes.

Try the post office. Use a temp agency. You will make good money and quickly build up your last Quarter. Their seasonal help is a good temp job for quick money.
