I don't mean abusive men! I am sixteen, but I'm not like most girls my age or most women. I am really assertive and hold my own. I'm not dependent upon my boyfriend giving me excessive amounts of attention. I like my men to be very masculine, to an extent a man that can put in my place as a woman, not behind him, but by his side.Where I don't feel like the man. He runs things and where's the pants but if I see something I don't like, I will check him. But I don't nag.
Also like my men to be somewhat agressive. I don't know why. But I've noticed a lot of the girls be crying when their boyfriends be upset with them and begging for them to talk to them. And a lot girls criticize me as being a ***** or insensitive.
I don't understand it, because I don't try to break a man's pride down.

Do not tell me I am to young to think about of this question and that I need to focus on my school, because no matter short the smart remark is, you will be wasting my time to read someone's reply that is actually of use. I may be 16 but I am no dummy, and I am probably smarter than most people in their 20s and some people in their 30s, educationally and logically. I carry a 3.9 GPA, not to mention I speak three foreign languages, French, Spanish, and German. I've been taking classes with seniors since 9th grade.

I'd like to think I was like you at your age. Men should be men and not whiny little spoiled brats. I think a man is very sexy when they are masculine. Sorry if this offends you but how can you have a 3.9 average when your grammar is needing help?

You're sixteen and a kid so you have no idea what a man is let alone what kind of man you may be interested in when you grow up. Silly talk really right now with your limited knowledge. Pay attention to school and where you want your life and career after high school and pay less attention to what you expect out of a little boy. Date, don't determine.

I have been accused of being a ***** all my life, and it doesn't bother me one bit. Being the way I am got me where I am today, and I have a really good life. But then again you are only 16 and you have alot of growing and learning to do, so don't worry about it, it's not like you have to find your husband right now.

hi I'm around 16 too so i can relate to your question...Even though we are young we still know what we want..I think that it's perfectly normal. We are all different people with different tastes...It's your taste and your life and if you like it go for it :) hope you find a guy like that for you

No. You sound very mature for your age and you seemed to know exactly what you want. I didn't know the kind of man you speak of still existed.

Yes, it's normal to like many personality traits in men. Your preference isn't unusual; however, difficult to find in youth.
