Yeah that would have worked brilliantly for Nixon. Fortunately for Bush he has lots of Nixon leftovers to help him perfect his illegal trampling of our Constitution. It is working out soo well for him. In fact so well he still actually has people who support him.

Yes, Bush has been giving himself more and more power to break the law with immunity from prosecution. I guess the Republicans learned that if they are going to break the law they best cover their butts.

He did say that, people wouldn't buy it then, now the vast majority can't tell fiction from reality and with what the powers that be expect them to believe now, (or be labeled unpatriotic) that's hardly surprising.
