Absolutely. Do you think they'll let you drive home on a suspended license? This is taken very seriously, especially if you lost your license because of a DUI. Just ask Paris Hilton.

The chances of getting caught driving while ones license is suspended is about the same as being stopped while the license is legal. This does not consider that police may know you or your car, if you live in a small town. The reason drivers are nabbed while driving under suspension is that such drivers tend to do things that get them stopped. To be safe, however, it would be best to simply wait out the suspension. If your are caught, it will mean a fine and a much longer suspension. By the way, running a four way stop at a quiet intersection in the middle of nowhere is not safe responsible driving. The stop sign is not, contrary to popular myth, merely a suggestion.

Uh yeah...... Driving on a suspended license is an arrestable offense. If it were legal to drive without a valid license why would anyone go to the trouble and expense of getting one?

Actually, they CAN take you to jail for any violation of traffic law. Driving without a valid license is an offense that usually DOES result in arrest.

You must be the only person in the world who missed the Paris Hilton saga, because that's what that was all about. Her license was suspended and she drove anyway, and got caught.
