Ok bhuddists think life is an illusion.... but this is supported mathematically our mass compared to the mass of the universe is well its small so small a number in fact any mathematician would round it to zero.
So if we dont have a mass then what are we? Are we simply figments of someone elses imagination that doesn't exist?
If someone (who didn't exist) chopped a tree down (that didnt exist) in a forest (that didnt exist) with nobody (that didnt exist) around to hear it would it make a non existent sound?

Ken u have made remember a whacky old professor at uni that said to us.
"Whenever we try to measure any system in some way we add an element to the system and then it is no longer the original system. I wonder if we are just making it up as we go along."

If you consider the mathematical assumption difficult to swallow consider this. If you compared the error associated with it to the error associated with the assumptions applied in the design of (non-existent planes) then that error to would be so insignificant you would either have to accept it or accept that planes (that don't exist) can't fly. As by comparison the error associated with the design of a plane would be almost infintely huge.

" I think therefor I am"
We are an illusion, however we are as real as we think we are. Our perception is what creates our reality. That's why although we all live in the same world we all live in a very different world. What I believe to be right you may percieve as wrong . We create our world and our beliefs based from our perception and our perception is created from our beliefs. We are but a dream of ouselves experiencing life through ourselves.
Therefor if you can controle what a large number of people thinks and beleives you can control the shared reality we experience together to a very great level, in fact this is already taking place all around us. If you believe the truth, that love is the only reality and everything else is an illusion then you are helping to create this world as a better "dream" for all of us.

Should we take the literal meaning of ' bhuddists think life is an illusion".
By experience many know that illusions are difficult to understand-each having his /her own.By not understanding anything ( even the simplest)should we declare that it is an illusion (which does not exist or" exists only in vision").Life is a constantly changing phenomena -as the mustard tree growing up unnoticed ( only at measurements of its heights at intervals we could show it has grown or remained stagnant for some reason unknown or known.
I do not know if I have been clear .Regrets-am I not an illusion?-difficult to understand !

This reminds me of something I've read before, something called Solipsism.
Solipsism is a philosophical argument that all reality is just one's own imagining of reality, and that one's self is the only thing that exists. Even if something exists, nothing can be known about it; and even if something could be known about it, knowledge about it can't be communicated to others.
To simplify this, (hypothetically) it's the same as believing that "My mind is the only thing that exists", and that everything "I" perceive of the universe is nothing more than the product of "my" mind's mental projections.
I know this sounds weird (and scary to say the least), and I hope that my own understanding of the philosophy is somewhat accurate.
But to tell you the truth, I don't believe in Solipsism. Because if I do, I'll be saying that YOU don't exist, at least not in the way that can be made known to me. And that would also mean that I am horribly and irrevocably alone.
I'm just as real as you and everything else in this universe. My heart beats strongly within me, and I can feel the tangible warmth of the sunshine on my skin. I believe our existence in this universe is for a purpose and I refuse to believe that all the beautiful and wonderful things I see (and wish, but yet to see) around me is simply a projection of the thoughts and workings of a lonely mind....

Does empty exist or non-exist? If finished exist, then does empty exist or non-exist? ~~~ Empty in highway vernacular, such using fact the cup is a million/2 finished and a million/2 empty. it particularly is obviously thoroughly finished, a million/2 of water and the different a million/2 of air! So, sure, there is 'finished' and 'empty'. finally, there are neither. the two are purely imaginary words to describe the hypothesis of what we see. Is it 'finished' of water? How close will the magnification get till now you declare it easily empty? the only difference is an argument of perspective and theory. each and every little thing exists!

"Cogito ergo sum"- latin for "I think therefore I am." It was French philosopher Rene Descartes that coined this phrase in his "Discourse on the Method of Rightly Conducting the Reason, and Seeking Truth in the Sciences", a very wordy book. How does it apply to the query? Descartes in his meditations attempts to delve the depths of his mind. What is real if our sense can deceive us? How can we know that anything is real? yet at the most inscrutable level, there exists the thoughts and they most certainly are something. If there is thought, then nothing cannot be. We can simply build off of this because it is a fundamental truth. We must be something because we think. hope that this helps answer you question.

This is a very interesting question. The thing is it is only possible for us to experience the world through our own eyes and bodies, so how do we know that our 'Lives', what we are experiencing and everyone we meet or see, is not just a very complex figment of our own imaginations?
When we dream that seems real enough while we are asleep. We see things, touch things and feel things as if they are real. So what is reality? If you've ever seen "The Matrix" you'll have an idea of what I mean !!!

1. mathematicians you mentioned uses figures rounded up to zero, therefore they are not exactly zero... only zero values are null and void, thus do not exist, but a thing approximately zero is in reality not really zero. mathematicians do the rounding off for two reasons, first is the mathematical equivalence that is said to be negligible, but the second reason is just to simplify the calculation... you may say you're mass is completely zero, but you're not really zero, therefore you're not null and void, and thus you exist.
2. besides, the basis used as reference is quite too big, you compared it to the universe which most believe is more vast that one could ever imagine... comparing ones weight even to the earth is no match, what more if compare to the weight of the entire universe... why compare your weight with that of something even your imagination couldn't grasp its vastness?

A perception could not be had in non existence but the nature of that existence is open to question. Since our perception of everything comes in through the senses and these have a limited range and can be artificially induced it is reasonable to question whether an objective material existence is actually out there. Perhaps all that exists is consciousness.

everyone is always wondering how we exist. People will go to the extremes with religion. How do we actually know if all of this is true like the bible about jesus. people are finding out about the truth from books like the da vinci code.
i think people are trying so hard to find out what life is that we are making things up to have an anwser. Remmber not everthing has a answer to it....

Even if we are "real", we are such an unimportant piece in huge a huge space as out universe, that we might as well be imaginary, because even large scale things on Earth, have absolutely no effect almost anywhere else in the universe. If we are imaginary, so be it. I like it. If we aren't, my views on life aren't changing because of it.
