They have a good chance of it, even though the West is heating up even more this year. Dallas is apparently trying to sign Gerald Wallace... that would be the team to beat with Dirk, Wallace, Howard, Terry. Portland is clearly on the rise. But the Spurs have the experience and poise during the playoffs, they make it look like cake.

They are the favorite at this time. But it is a long season and untimely injuries to Parker or Duncan would take them out of contention. Cleveland should improve and several teams in the West could knock them out if they become complacent. If focused and healthy any team would have to play well above expectations to beat them especially if they play well enough to gain homecourt advantate. The East is improving and the team to make it from there will be battle-tested.

YEAH!

I know that everybody thinks that the Spurs are the team to beat next year, they just won't admit it (Mavs & Suns Fans).

As long as TD is around & Manu & Tony are there to help out, they'll always be around to play for the Title.

By the time they're done, they may add a title or two or three to their already impressive haul, by then it would be the GREG ODEN Show.

It depends on what the other teams look like after the free
agent signings.

But yes, bar any injuries, I think it looks good for the Spurs next year.

Not if they face Dallas in the playoffs. They got lucky this year, but if they dont play dallas, they will. The east is weak, and the spurs have proved they can handle all other teams in the west.

Its hard to tell, but I would put 100 bucks that they'll be in the playoffs and 50 that they will be in the championship game.
