i am only about 5 weeks pregnant when do i need a shot, i have already had a kid to my partner.thanks.

You only need the shot if he has a positive blood group. Do you know if he has? If he is positive, the shot is given at around 7 months and then again after the birth. If he's negative as you are, then there isn't a problem as you can't have a positive from two negatives.

If you have any doubts ask the doctor for a blood test to detect the antibodies.

I am rh negative also. During my 1st pregnancy I received the shot at 7 months and then after delivery. I am currently 7 weeks pregnant and I received the shot last week because I went to the hospital due to vaginal bleeding. So if you experience any vaginal bleeding during your pregnancy you'll need the shot within 72 hours of the bleeding episode.

At 28 weeks then after birth if the baby is positive.
