Trying out for a movie role and the director said you will have to cry at a moments notice what would you think about that could easily make you cry or at least make you get teary?

You would have to relate the moment to an experience of your own. What makes one person cry won't necessarily do the same for another person. Think back in your past to something that has made you cry and made you uncontrollably sad. When you have to cry on cue, think of that experience and all the pain that came with it. Personally, what I do is think of being at the funeral of my grandmother, and seeing her dead body lying in the casket, but something else may work for you. Experiment with things and see what brings you the most pain, and what works the best.

sit alone in a dark room and think of something horrible befor the try outs or put in eye drops or just feel sad then it will come to you. good luck

I always try and really put my self in the place of the character....like if the mum just died or somethinf I just try and think of what if that happened to me. Go with you instincs.....but if you cry, cry.....if you don't, try not to force it.

We actors learn various techniques in acting school, one is to cry on cue. Crying on cue is one of the many things we actors learn in acting school It's very easy to cry on cue.
