Suppose some thousands of millions of dollars, convinient that weapons of mass destruction have "been found" which gives americans the perfect excuse to go into iraq and retrieve this big fortune. Also Iraq was the strongest arabic country, quite developped, now it's not so. Alot of people have been turned off muslims, hmm i wander how bush feels about them.

It's a fair question. Though miserly, unfair, oil-snogging people won't agree with you!

Naive John Doe (Above) should call himself John D'oh!

I suppose the billions of dollars that it cost to run the war should just be ignored. Some American corporations certainly made money out of this war (i.e., Halliburton), but the American taxpayer's ledger would only show a loss. American's don't own the oil industry - only the stockholders of the companies do, and that does not include more Americans than it does include. You make a complicated issue simple, and it isn't as simple as you make it sound. I didn't make any money out of this war, and I sure as heck didn't start it.

American Joe Public has only lost not in dollar terms as price of oil has risen but More So With The Loss Of Dear One`s. The money makers are arms manufacturers and oil barons like bush and co. So i sympathise with the American People for their loss pf loved one`s but hope they have the courage to demand justice for their fallen heroes by demanding court martial for the war mongers.

Its convenient for the big corporations, but not for the average joe in the US, gas is quite expensive, (the cheapest I've found has been $2.72 per gallon, and I have to drive 15 miles to get to that gas station) and unfortunately in most parts of the US the public transportation is mediocre to say the least.

If the general populace have been turned off by the muslims, they've done all by the themselves, aint nobody putting a gun to their heads saying : "ok act like an a*shole or I'll shoot you". IMO bush could care less about them.

Americans have not "made" anything! Bush, his cronies, and the CEOs of the oil companies are the only ones getting rich. We are paying more for oil as well as food due to the increased cost to grow and transport food. Our children and grandchildren will still be paying for this war long after my generation dies! Please do not confuse Bush, Cheney, et al with the American people! I never voted for him, and neither did the majority of my countrymen, regardless of the "vote talley". Bush is as hated here as much, if not more so, than anywhere else. Please open your mind and do some research before you make statements that generalize and criticize the people of other countries!

Excuse me, "America" has not made anything, it's Bush and his friends and his Daddy's friends and Cheney and the other shareholders of Haliburton who have made all the money. Did you know Haliburton was moving it's headquarters to Dubai next year? Yeah, since the middle east is so "safe" since there is not reall a war. Haven't you seen the movie "Canadian Bacon?" Same deal I believe.

Americans are poor because of the oil war. Inflation and interest rates (driven by oil prices) are making everyone lose their homes and jobs. Didn't you know Exxon has made record profits since 9/11?

I'll tell you what, this American hasn't earned a penny from Iraq. We commoners are paying more for our gas than ever.

The smart ones, I'm sure, have bought the right stock to make the money. You could, too, by the way.

Well, as far as "conspiracy theories" you can speculate all you want. But the fact of the matter is, the US does not get the amount of oil out of Iraq as you would think. In fact, the number one supplier of oil to the US is Canada, followed by Mexico. Iraq ranks 6th as far as oil supplier to the US, supplying less than 6% of its crude oil imports. Check it out.

From the way in which you have presented your 'question', I would say that you are an uneducated twerp. What's even worse is the fact that you are TRYING to sound clever and insightful.

Let me tell you something, you know nothing. What you think you know is what you have been brain washed into believing.

Forget the middle east for now, and concentrate on your literary skills.

If you really are interested in the middle east, I suggest reading up on World War I & II... and prior and beyond.

American's don't make money off of oil. Companies make money. American's pay for the war, which is costing way more than the oil money that the Iraqi's recieve from their oil fields. Come up with some good points to make instead of just dreaming things up.

The US does not make money from Iraqi oil, they buy it from OPEC and use it domestically. Anyhow it accounts for less than 4% of all oil used in America. They use more oil from Texas than Iraq. To say the war is about oil is a non-arguement.
