Every liberal who has had an abortion feels compelled to defend abortion for all women; every Air America listener who can’t stand the USA feels the need to defend Saddam ; and every Democrat who voted for Bill Clinton feels the need to defend duplicity, adultery, lying about adultery, sexual harassment, rape, perjury, draft dodging, obstruction of justice, kicking the can of global Islamo-fascism down the road for eight years and so on.

if they make people believe this kind of thing is normal then they don't have to feel so evil about what they are doing. (not all are like this, but the far left is).

OK, coming from someone who is not a Democrat (That would be me) I'll answer some of your charges.

I don't defend Saddam. What he did was heinous. However when you choose to remove the ONLY SECULAR (non-muslim) LEADER in a region where you are fighting THEOCRATIC (muslim) GOVERNMENT FUNDED terrorists it seems a little ridiculous, especially when you have the opportunity to actually stop a similar genocidal attack in the Darfur region, where the Sudanese leadership may actually have more to do with global terror and you do nothing. For that matter, Turkish prisons are legendary for their torture, and yet, they are our ally. At best, the logic is inconsistent. At worst the logic is not even there.

As far as whether Bill Clinton got the BJ, didn't get the BJ, diddled his staffer with a Macanudo, frankly, it didn't do much to affect my life: The only person on the planet who needed to take Bill to the woodshed on this was Hillary Clinton or Chelsey Clinton because they had to deal with the crap everyday. He's not the first President to use the oval office for that and he probably won't be the last. Threatening impeachment for that was borderline lunacy.

You know, if there was sufficient evidence to prove rape, don't you think He would have been in prison now. There have been decades and unlike the pedophile priests, we know all the players and details. What is there to defend?

Whitewater = Bad Business deal. He lost money. Get over it.

Hope that clears it up for you...

Liberals are no worse than conservatives.

But then, the question is really not about liberals. It could much more simply be stated as "why do the people who disagree with me think differently than I do?"

One of the fundamental principles of human behavior is tribalism. We can't embrace everyone because there's simply too many of them. We split ourselves into tribes and project evil on most of the people not of our own tribe. Pick the reason why the other tribes are wrong - politics, nationality, religion, alliances, customs. Heck, everything from cuisine to clothing can be vilified if it's the other guy's thing.

Underneath it all, conservatives are a tribe like liberals are a tribe like moderates are a tribe. Everyone who ain't in the tribe is out.

Why do people always fight about left wing vs right wing when it's obvious that the vast majority of politicians see the people as nothing more than cattle? Our only purpose to the so-called leaders is to be subjects. You can't have an empire without subject.

Why fight about which side is worse? They are all screwing us over, and we make it harder to see the truth when we fight each other over who's worse.

Perfect example is the war. The dems were suppose to fix the mess the republicans made, but what happened? Meet the new boss same as the old boss.

Oh, THIS is gonna be FUN!!

I just LOVE to watch neocon/RRR Cult lemmings making total fools of themselves, whining about "liberals." When in reality, it's the so-called "conservatives" that have NO ammo (i.e., FACTS) in their debating arsenal.

On abortion -- let's see you produce so much as ONE FACT that can back your hateful agenda that seeks to FORCE tens of millions of girls and women (over time) to gestate UNwanted preganacies to term against their will. (Which would be a very real 9-month-long form of RAPE.)

FORTUNATELY, abortion is nothing less than one of the most beneficial REMEDIES for an unwanted medical condition that the world has ever known. Over any given recent 18-year-long period, it has RESTORED the full range of future opportunities for no fewer than ONE BILLION (with a "B!") girls and women to PRE-ill-timed pregnancy levels.

Meanwhile, the abject hypocrisy of the ANTI-Choice minority is really a joke! They WHINE about a comparative *handful* of abortions, while no fewer than a QUADRILLION potential people are electively aborted DAILY, worldwide -- by men! About which they look the other way and whistle a tune! (ALL four RPE -- (Reproductive-Process-Entity) -- stages, including the gametes (Stage 1) are human, ALIVE, *potential* people.

RPEs : People :: Acorns : Oak Trees

Who ever felt any need to defend Saddam? MOST people recognize that Bush, Sr. was a complete DOPE for allowing him to get away, back in 1991!

As for supporters of Bill Clinton "defending" adultery... well -- first off -- a mere BJ is *not* adultery. But even if it WERE, it would have been NO big deal. Consenting adults engaging in sex is NO one else's business but THEIRS. So if you're whining about that, that makes you a busybody. And busybodiness is a common denominator of RRR Cultists!

There was NO "sexual harrassment," rape, or draft-dodging involved in his presidency, and if there were any of that bgeforehand, then guess what? We elected him with a strong margin, so didnt let any such things in the past deter us. OR -- should we revisit GW Bush's lame ducking of his history of being a COKEHEAD? (What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander!)

As for your "Islamo-fascism" comment? Hell, that didn't even make any sense at all.

Easy.
A liberals behavior or belief system is based on their own self justification. Nobody else's with reason, fore thought or insightful logic. No matter if it infringes on "your" rights or not. If it is good for them or their kind, it is not only just and right in their minds. It is the way America has always been. Just ask George Washington.

and yet the Clinton's are BACK?
well, i am not a liberal or a conservative..
i just look at the situation and vote the way i feel...
Liberals are a pain..but so can the Republicans..
both have issues...
I think we start out being liberal when we are young and dumb and as we get older and wiser we become more conservative...
I can't believe how some of the liberals want to spend our tax money..but the Republicans are not much better..
The winner of the next presidential election will be a democrat who has the most money in his or her war chest..
that is if the liberals bother to vote..most of the Democrats won't vote if it rains or is inconvenient to them..but the Republicans always seem to make it to the polls...

You have to realize that liberals have no idea what's really going on. They have this wonderful rosie fictional idea of what should be and no idea at all of what is. Liberals are so sheltered from reality that they think everything they say comes directly from a God they don't believe exists

Why do CONSERVATIVES always defend the INDEFENSIBLE? After all, in 2000 thousands of Floridians were denied their right to vote, just so that the elder Bush's Supreme Court buddies could put his son in the White House. For some reason, a lot of conservatives find a way to defend something so undemocratic. Not only that, but many of them also manage to defend Bush's failure to capture the main culprit behind the 9/11 attacks and his decision to drag us into a war with a country that was in no way involved in the attacks. Not only that, but for some reason, a lot of conservatives defend Bush & Co.'s use of domestic spying, which is something that belongs in totalitarian regimes, not democracies. What am I saying, though? Since Bush wasn't even democratically elected in 2000, maybe the US isn't really a democracy, after all!
