It's a question thats been on my mind. So it goes like this... I like my cousin, a lot, and people are telling me its wrong, but he isn't blood related; we're related by marriage. Is it still wrong?

its not wrong or sick. people are dumb! your not related. get it on and have fun doing something taboo!!!!!!!!! my bosses sister married this guy then my boss's mother married her som in laws father! Happy family and not illegal

In some states, you can marry a blood-related cousin. (Franklin and Elanor Roosevelt were first cousins, by the way.)
If he's related only by marriage, I don't think there's anything wrong. But, if/ when things don't work out, you'll still be seeing him at family functions. This may not be worth it. Also, what kind of flak will you be getting from your families?

Yeah, it's not wrong. But taking it further definitely has complications, which must be weighed. But just being attracted to someone, especially if they aren't blood related, is certainly normal.
But why not just go for something less complicated? Surely, this isn't the only person on the earth you could be madly in love with. Is it the forbidden-ness of the whole thing that's attracting you?

Nothing wrong at all...in half the states in the US first cousins (blood) can marry, and in all from 2nd cousins on can marry...in most countries outside the US cousins can marry and even the Catholic church is kewl with it.
If this cousin isn't even blood related, it's a non-issue. Nothing wrong at all with it...

It may seem a bit weird to family members, but if he is not a blood relative, there is really nothing wrong with it. Just stop referring to him as you cousin. That'll cure a lot of the problem.

ok, I had that problem once before my cousin was related. I liked her alot too. Then I became realted and I hd to control my self. Because not only is incest wrong, it wrecks the DNA of any offspring this is how children have birth defects retartdation. So You can like him just control yourself.

The thing is it isn't wrong. The reason people don't marry their cousin anymore is because when you marry them and you have a kid with them the kid has phycological problems.

I always tell my little girls that they can't marry someone that's already in their family. If he's in your family (no matter how he got there) he should be off limits. Avoid spending time alone with him, and definitely set your sights on some guys that aren't in your family.

i don't think it's really wrong, since he isn't related by blood...but if you act on your feelings, that could be really odd.
