1. Scooter lied.
2. He lied to cover for his superiors.
3. His superior is Cheney.
4. Cheney runs the government.
Scooter had to take the fall, and Bush had to keep him out of prison....as dictated by Cheney. How do I know this? It's common sense people.
There should be no surprise here.

Well i can't give you a right answer because i'm just learning about u.s hist. & polotics is not my thing. But by the other answers, Scooter can be a big deal

All I can say on the matter is that I have more respect for Martha Stewart & Paris Hilton then for Bush, Cheney & Libby.

Not surprised at all. Bush has again shown that he believes he and his group are above the law.
I can only grimmace to imagine what it would be like if Democrats had lost 2006.

Since it was Richard Armitage that outed Valerie Plame who wasn't covert in the first place, I don't understand why all the foaming at the mouth by liberals.
