Seriously! Clinton's been out of office for nearly a decade now and Carter's been out for almost 30 years. Give it a rest already!

Because they are Democrats. Since the current administration is Republican and not very popular, the only way to fight back is to point out bad administrations the Democrats have lead. Basically no one can own their mistakes, (it is always some one elses fault) so we make it a difference in political views. This way we spend more time arguing and don't make progress.

Because some people insist that Bush is "the worst president ever". Any intelligent mind can clearly see that:
1) Clinton & Carter were by far the worst presidents in recent history, and
2) everything that has gone before has led us directly to this mess we're in now.
Libs & Democrats love to say that it's all Bush's fault, but the simple fact is that we likely wouldn't be in this mess if Clinton & Carter had done their jobs properly.

Both are still alive and active in national politics. If you want to make a comparison regarding the current administration, you must look to see what past administrations have done. What did Clinton/Reagan/Carter do is a perfectly legitimate question.

I have no qualms with clinton, but Carter, I will harass him until the day he dies.

Carter was the WORST president of the 20th century. There was rampant stagflation, the Iranian Hostage Crises, the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, the Oil shortages.

What did Carter do when the Soviets invaded Afghanistan? He boycotted the Olympics, does that make any sense to you?

For the same reason they bring up Jesus, Martin Luther King Jr., John F. Kennedy. They're apart of history, and whether you like it or not...They're going to remain there. Just like Jewish people don't like the holocaust, it's still there. So I say you this: Get over it, they're going to be remain on everyone's thoughts for as long as people care about history.

Clinton is campaigning for his wife, Hillary Rodham.
Carter is praising dictators such as Castro and Chavez.

This is happening in the present.
