Obviously it matters little what I think.
Its too late for Bush to do anything that can alter public opinion favorably for most Americans. It will come back to haunt them but so I understand it, its OK to lie to federal prosecutors and grand juries as long as you are loyal to the president.
Gonzales is in the same group.
George W should have never stolen the 2000 election.

NO,
And to me if just proves my theory that George W. Bush is President in name only and that Dick Cheney is the real power behind the throne.
One reason why Bush could care less about his approval rating is that Cheney doesn't care, and Cheney keeps telling him that he will have an important place in history.
George W. Bush will go down in history as one of the most powerful Presidents, the most powerful since Nixon didn't ignore the public like Bush does. He does this because people barely remember the Vice President and no one will know that he is the real man in charge.
Bush has taken on a lot of power, but his excesses have not matched Cheney's. Now Cheney has the gall to say that he is immune to the controls the Constitution placed on the Executive Branch. His office is clearly mentioned in Article Two Section Four, but he claims to be a member of the Legislative Branch, when it suits him.
The near pardon of "Scooter" Libby is just another example of Dick Cheney flexing his political muscle.

I find it so funny everyone up in arms about Libby. Jimmy Carter pardoned convicted Felon, Bill Clinton in 1977. Dosn't that seem Ironic? That the President who issued the most Pardons, Clinton, was pardoned himself?
