because you are negative they will test the babies blood and you will find out fairly quickly but you may have to ask for it, I had to ask for the results from my son,

With that combo of parents, your baby's blood type can LITERALLY be anything except O. Your baby will get either an A or a B factor from his father, so he can be AB, A, or B, and either positive or negative.

They check the babies blood at birth. If your baby is also Rh negative then you don't have to have the rhogam after delivery.
Use the blood type calculator on this page to see what it gives you, can be many different types. http://www.biology.arizona.edu/human_bio/problem_sets/blood_types/inherited.html

First they should check that with the first set of bloods tests that they did when your pregnancy blood work was done. Just to make sure that you aren't RH neg. I would ask the doctors about that if you haven't had it done already. And yes, they will tell you your baby's blood type when it's born or shortly after.

After you have the baby in the hospital, they automatically check to see what the baby's blood type is. Make sure if they don't tell you or write it down on that little card they put on the carrier that the baby is in while at the hospital, then ask them. They'll tell you if you ask them.
With my son they wrote it down on the little card. With my daughter they told me.

You will not be able to tell until after the baby is born. It has a 50/50 chance of having yours or his. I have O- and my husband has O+. My oldest son is O- and my youngest is O+. You will have to wait and see. They will test the baby when it is born.
