I used to hold grudges until I realized that it was only hurting me to do that. I am now a very forgiving person and have learned to forgive myself as well. That was the hardest thing to do.

This is an interesting question. I am actually very forgiving to people who wrong me. Even if im trying to hold a grudge, I forget about it and then its not an issue anymore. But if somebody hurts my friends or family, I never forgive them, even when the person they wronged has forgiven them. its weird isnt it?

If someone tells me they are sorry, then I'm very forgiving. If they tell me that "I shouldn't feel bad," or that I'm too sensitive (in short, if they make an excuse rather than apologizing), then I do tend to hold a grudge.
